Liz Kirshenbaum helps individuals, couples and families navigate the challenges of life
People face challenging issues at many stages of their lives. In those moments of feeling overwhelmed, it is helpful to have someone who will listen, support and encourage; to learn how to understand and navigate through difficult events. I take a non-judgmental, warm and empathetic approach to help my clients explore their emotions, relationship dynamics and patterns of behavior.
I have experience counseling young adults; helping them with issues that arise from dating, marriage, childbearing, and parenting. I also work with adults who experience significant life events — including divorce and death. I counsel individuals, couples and families to help them reduce the stresses and anxiety that often arise from work demands or from the dynamics of friend and family relationships.

My Approach:
I believe that every person’s story is unique, and that therapy should honor that individuality. My approach is integrative, meaning I draw from a variety of evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and holistic methods. This allows me to tailor our work together to best fit you: your goals, your pace, and your strengths.
Our sessions are interactive and collaborative, I value creating a space where you feel both supported and gently challenged, so that meaningful change can take place. Sometimes this means exploring patterns and beliefs with curiosity; other times, it means learning new skills or perspectives that help you move forward.
I may also offer homework assignments or reflective exercises between sessions to deepen the progress we make together. This isn’t about adding pressure-it's about helping you integrate insights and strategies into your daily life, where growth truly happens.
My goal is to help you connect more fully with yourself, build resilience, and create lasting change-all in a space of compassion, authenticity, and hope.

We'll start with a free consultation to help you determine not only whether I’m the right therapist for you, but also for me to determine whether my skills are a match with your needs.

My services are available at a flat rate of $150 per hour. Silver Hill Counseling does not accept insurance payments.

Each session lasts approximately 45 minutes. We will discuss and determine the appropriate frequency of visits collaboratively at the conclusion of our initial session based on your needs and treatment goals.

Therapy services are offered both in person and via secure telehealth. This flexibility allows clients to choose the format that best fits their needs, preferences, and circumstances, while maintaining the same standard of care in either setting.
